Welcome to the Light Ball Sydney, an annual black-tie ball that takes place every year to help tackle the issue of mental health in Australia, Ireland and beyond.

The Light Ball started with a group of friends who came together after losing a very close friend in Ireland through suicide. Since then, the movement has evolved and has seen the original event in Ireland grow to Sydney (now in its fifth year).

Whether it's a loved one, family member or friend, suicide is an issue that has affected or will affect most people throughout their lives in one way or another. In Australia alone, eight Australians take their own life through suicide every single day.

'The Power Of One' is real and by attending the event or even giving the smallest donation, you can help chip away at the stigma around mental health. You'll also be raising invaluable funds for our two charities, batyr (Australia), and Pieta House (Ireland), meaning your impact is international.

So don't feel like you are too small to change anything. YOU'RE NOT! Ideas, movements, dreams all come from people. If Elon Musk can change the way we think about the future of this planet, we can take action about the future of mental health.
